Matric Rewrite Results Set for Release This Week

The Department of Basic Education has announced that the results for the 2024 Matric Rewrite are coming out soon, specifically on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. But here’s the catch – these results will only be available for certain provinces.

This year’s rewrite exams were held in May and June, giving former matric learners a second chance to bump up their marks or complete their matric after a tough time last year.

While many students are eagerly waiting, the department has confirmed that the results will be released in two batches. The first batch, arriving on August 7, will only be available to learners in specific provinces. The second batch, which will include results for provinces like Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, is set to come out on August 12, 2024.

To check their results, students need to head over to the department’s official exam results page and enter their student numbers. For those who are not satisfied with their scores, there’s an option to request a recheck or remark on their results.
