Mayorkun Clears the Air on Allegations by Nicki Dabarbie
Popular Afrobeats singer, Mayorkun, has recently addressed the allegations made against him by social media influencer, Nicki Dabarbie, denying any involvement in the alleged ritual attempt.
Dabarbie had accused Mayorkun and his colleague, Abbey Elias, also known as Skiibii, of plotting to use her for ‘money ritual’. However, Mayorkun refuted these claims, stating he had never met Nicki Dabarbie before the allegations surfaced.
In a series of posts on X.com, Mayorkun expressed his frustration with the negative impact of the false news, emphasizing that he had no knowledge of Dabarbie’s existence prior to the accusations.
The acclaimed singer highlighted his disappointment with how quickly people latch onto unverified claims online, disregarding the damaging effects such allegations can have on his career and personal life.
Mayorkun admitted that he initially refrained from responding emotionally to the allegations but ultimately felt compelled to set the record straight due to the seriousness of the accusations.
He reiterated that he has never crossed paths with Nicki Dabarbie and is determined to pursue legal action to protect his reputation.
Mayorkun, the son of Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale and movie producer Sunday Adewale, began his music career after being discovered by Davido in 2016 and subsequently signed to Davido Music Worldwide.
