McDonald’s Unveils Limited-Edition Grandma McFlurry Inspired by Nostalgic Memories

McDonald's is set to introduce a unique limited-edition dessert, the Grandma McFlurry, inspired by nostalgic memories and sweet treats from grandmothers across the nation. This new offering is a heartfelt homage to grandmothers and their cherished traditions of gifting sweet candies, hidden in purses, to their grandchildren.
The Grandma McFlurry is a delightful blend of syrup and crunchy candy pieces, reminiscent of the candies grandmas often shared. Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, expressed that the new dessert aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia and celebratory moments spent with grandmothers.
To complement the launch of the Grandma McFlurry, McDonald’s collaborated with celebrated artists Remi Wolf and Jay Wheeler. Wolf covered the classic hit «How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),» while Wheeler reimagined the iconic song. The remakes will be available on music platforms starting May 21.
The nationwide release of the Grandma McFlurry is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, offering customers a taste of tradition and familial warmth. As a prelude to the launch, a Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile toured New York City, making stops at senior centers and assisted living homes, spreading joy and sweetness.
