At the 2024 Juno Awards, Canadian singer-songwriter Jim Cuddy paid tribute to the late musical icons Gordon Lightfoot, Robbie Robertson, and Karl Tremblay, acknowledging their impactful contributions to the Canadian music scene.

The evening’s commemorations included heartfelt performances by artists such as Alexandra Strélisiki, Allison Russell, and Aysanabee, who delivered moving renditions of songs like ‘Les Étoiles filantes,’ ‘If You Could Read My Mind,’ and ‘The Weight.’

Joining them on stage were fellow musicians Shawnee Kish, Logan Staats, William Prince, and Julian Taylor, creating a memorable tribute to these revered figures.

The 2024 Juno Awards also featured a touching In Memoriam segment during the Opening Night Awards, honoring individuals from the music community who passed away this year, including Sebastian Agnello, John Alexander, Chad Allan, Myles Goodwyn, and more.

Host Nelly Furtado brought both somber and celebratory moments to the evening, underscoring the importance of remembering and honoring those who have left a lasting impact on Canada’s musical landscape.
