The Mexican National Team will clash with Bolivia in a friendly match at the iconic Soldier Field in Chicago as part of their preparation for the upcoming Copa America tournament, which is set to take place in the United States.

Following their disappointing loss in the Liga de las Naciones final against archrivals United States, Mexico aims to establish themselves as key contenders in the Copa America challenge.

Jaime Lozano, the head coach, will use this friendly encounter not only to secure a victory but also to evaluate both seasoned veterans and emerging talents in the Mexican squad, who will compete in Group B against Argentina, Colombia, and Paraguay in the Copa America.

With the absence of veteran goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and forwards Hirving Lozano and Raul Jimenez, Mexico’s roster for the Copa America features a blend of youth and experience, aiming to tackle the challenge posed by Bolivia.

Bolivia, led by coach Antonio Carlos Zago, will introduce a lineup consisting of nine newcomers from the Bolivar club, focusing on a fusion of young talents and seasoned figures in their preparation for the Copa America competition.

Reports suggest that Mexico is fielding several U-23 players against Bolivia due to recent additions to the squad for the Copa America, giving young talents under the guidance of Ricardo Cadena an opportunity to showcase their skills in the Maurice Revello tournament in France.

According to Gibrán Araige of TUDN, Jaime Lozano’s coaching staff will remain in Mexico to work with players gearing up for the Copa America, highlighting the strategic approach to player development and the significance of utilizing different age groups in international competitions.

With Julio González anchoring the Mexican defense and talents like Alexis Peña and Edson Álvarez adding depth, Mexico’s friendly against Bolivia serves as a crucial step in honing their squad for the Copa America challenge.
