Actor and advocate Michael J. Fox, born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Bill Fox and Phyllis Piper, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his distinguished career in entertainment and his unwavering advocacy for Parkinson’s disease research.

Fox, best known for his roles as Alex P. Keaton on ‘Family Ties‘ and Marty McFly in the ‘Back to the Future‘ trilogy, is married to Tracy Pollan, with whom he shares four children: Esme, Schuyler, Aquinnah, and Sam.

The actor, who changed his middle initial to ‘J’ to avoid confusion with another Michael A. Fox, has been a prominent figure in raising awareness about Parkinson's Disease through the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Throughout his career, Fox has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards, winning five, and has also received accolades such as a Grammy and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
