Michelle Randolph Shines in Taylor Sheridan’s New Series ‘Landman’

The new series «Landman» has captured attention with its fresh debut, particularly due to a standout performance by actress Michelle Randolph. Randolph portrays Ainsley Norris, a character highlighted by her wild and sexually extroverted nature, in the Taylor Sheridan-created drama set against the backdrop of the Permian Basin oil boom in West Texas.

Michelle Randolph, a 27-year-old actress from Napa Valley, California, has previously collaborated with Sheridan on the «Yellowstone» prequel «1923.» In «Landman,» she plays the daughter of characters played by well-known actors Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter.

Randolph’s portrayal of Ainsley as a confident and uninhibited 17-year-old offers a departure from her earlier roles, marking a refreshing change for the actress. In an interview with LRM Online, Randolph expressed how playing Ainsley allowed her to «embrace herself more.» She described her character as «a very interesting medium between the two parents,» providing insights into their flaws as individuals.

Aside from her current role, Randolph’s career includes appearances in other productions such as «House of the Witch,» «The Resort,» and «A Snow White Christmas.» Her breakthrough role came as Elizabeth Strafford in «1923,» where she worked alongside iconic actors like Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford.

Beyond acting, Michelle and her sister, «The Bachelor» season 23 winner Cassie Randolph, run their sustainable denim brand, LNDN Denim. The brand was launched in 2022 and reflects their commitment to eco-friendly fashion choices, with Randolph explaining to US Magazine that «denim is all people wear in California.»

«Landman» is currently streaming on Paramount+ and features a strong ensemble cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore. The series offers a candid look at the Texas oil boom and its socio-economic impact, inspired by the «Boomtown» podcast.
