67th National Puerto Rican Day Parade Celebrates Cultural Pride in New York City
The 67th National Puerto Rican Day Parade, a vibrant celebration of cultural pride, returned to the iconic Fifth Avenue in New York City on Sunday. This year’s parade, honoring the rich heritage of Puerto Ricans, featured honoree Carmen Jovet, a distinguished journalist with a notable five-decade career. The event, organized by a dedicated board including Louis Maldonado, showcased the unity and spirit of the Puerto Rican community.
Singer Lisa Velez, known for her captivating performances, graced the parade as the ‘Madrina’. Velez shared a teaser of a new salsa rendition of her hit song, «All Cried Out», adding a musical flair to the festivities.
