NDA MP Accused of Providing False Testimony to Save Son, Claims Kejriwal’s Wife
Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of imprisoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has made a significant allegation, asserting that her husband is ensnared in a ‘deep political conspiracy’.
Sunita Kejriwal has further alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Kejriwal in connection with the excise policy case based on purportedly fabricated testimonies from witnesses. Kejriwal also faces arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) due to a corruption scandal.
In a video message, Sunita Kejriwal revealed that her husband’s detention by the central probe agency was the result of a statement provided by NDA MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy (MSR). The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is a constituent of the ruling NDA alliance.
According to Sunita Kejriwal, on September 17, 2022, the Enforcement Directorate conducted a raid at MSR’s premises. During the investigation, MSR reportedly acknowledged meeting Arvind Kejriwal on March 16, 2021, at the Delhi Secretariat. The purpose of the meeting, as stated by MSR, was to discuss acquiring land in Delhi for a family charitable trust. Kejriwal purportedly informed him that the decision regarding the land fell under the jurisdiction of the LG, advising them to proceed with the application.
