NDA Alliance Secures Victory in Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024

The NDA alliance comprising the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Janasena Party emerged victorious in the Andhra Pradesh elections of 2024. The results, as reported by the Election Commission of India (ECI), revealed a landslide win for the NDA across both parliamentary and assembly segments.

With a total of 25 parliamentary constituencies in Andhra Pradesh, the NDA partners strategically contested the polls. The TDP competed in 17 Lok Sabha seats, while the BJP fielded candidates in 6 seats, and Janasena Party entered the race for two Lok Sabha seats. The results showed a significant win for the NDA alliance.

According to the ECI data, the TDP secured victory in 12 Lok Sabha seats and was leading in 4, while the BJP clinched 2 seats with a lead in one constituency. The Janasena Party was also prominently ahead in 2 Lok Sabha seats. On the other hand, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) managed to win in 4 Lok Sabha seats.

Key constituencies in Andhra Pradesh witnessed notable victories and defeats. Prominent contests included the Amalapuram seat where TDP’s GM Harish emerged victorious, and Anakapalle where BJP’s C.M. Ramesh was leading. In areas like Vizianagaram, TDP’s Appalanaidu Kalisetti secured a victory, while YSRCP faced setbacks in various regions.

The election results reflected a significant shift in the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh, with the NDA alliance making substantial gains. The collaborative efforts of the TDP, BJP, and Janasena Party in the region showcased a strong voter mandate for the alliance’s vision and leadership.
