New Rankings Announced for Indiana High School Football Teams
The Indiana high school football scene has seen notable changes in its rankings as the Indiana USA Today Network poll, conducted by statewide media members, has been updated ahead of Week 3.
In Class 3A, Evansville Memorial has claimed the No. 1 spot with a record of 2-0, moving up one position after the previous top-ranked team, Heritage Hills, fell to No. 3 following a decisive 35-7 defeat against Christian Academy of Kentucky.
Additionally, the Class 6A rankings feature two new entrants: Crown Point at No. 9 and Columbus North at No. 10, both holding a record of 2-0.
In the Class A category, North Judson has ascended to the No. 1 ranking with a 2-0 record, while former top team South Putnam has dropped to No. 4 after suffering a 34-12 loss to the 2A top-ranked Lutheran.
The complete breakdown of the USA Today Network Indiana poll reveals the standings as follows: In 6A, Westfield retains the top position with 166 points, followed closely by Crown Point and Brownsburg. In Class 5A, Merrillville tops the list with 169 points, and Whiteland follows with 149 points. Furthermore, New Palestine leads Class 4A while Evansville Memorial is ranked first in Class 3A.
