New Season of The Bachelorette Sees Historic First with Asian American Lead
Jenn Tran, a 26-year-old physician assistant student from Miami who previously appeared on Joey Graziadei‘s season, is set to make history as the first Asian American lead of The Bachelorette, which premieres its 21st season tonight on ABC.
In a recent interview, Jenn expressed disappointment at the lack of Asian men on the show and hoped that her presence alongside contestant Thomas N. would inspire other Asian men to pursue similar opportunities.
Producer Bennett Graebner acknowledged the show’s oversight in casting more Asian men and emphasized the importance of creating a safe and inclusive environment for all contestants.
Among the 25 contestants vying for Jenn’s heart are individuals from diverse locations such as New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Miami.
Each contestant brings a unique background and set of qualities to the show, with locations ranging from Santa Monica to Puerto Rico, and professions ranging from pet portrait entrepreneur to retirement adviser.
Throughout the season, viewers can expect drama, romance, and unexpected twists as Jenn navigates her journey to find true love.
