NFL Week 12 Injury Updates: Key Players Return and Remain Sideline
The National Football League (NFL) faces significant player challenges as injuries continue to affect various teams. Ahead of Week 12, updates on several key players’ conditions have been released, impacting starting quarterbacks, standout wide receivers, and more.
The San Francisco 49ers have endured a season marred by injuries, with their starting quarterback becoming the latest casualty. The quarterback was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, citing soreness in his throwing shoulder after the team’s recent 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Elsewhere on the 49ers roster, the status of their defensive end remains uncertain. He missed Wednesday’s practice due to hip and oblique injuries, putting his participation in the upcoming game against Green Bay in question.
Isiah Pacheco is anticipated to make a comeback to the Kansas City Chiefs‘ backfield for their game against the Carolina Panthers. After missing eight games due to a broken fibula, Pacheco participated limitedly in this week’s practice sessions. Sources have indicated his readiness to return.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to welcome back Mike Evans, a key player in their offensive lineup. Evans has been sidelined since a hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens but is slated to play in an upcoming matchup.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys‘ CeeDee Lamb was also a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice due to back and foot issues. Despite this, Lamb remains a significant contributor, ranking third in NFL receiving yards with 774 as Week 12 approaches.
On the defensive side, Khalil Mack from the Los Angeles Chargers is awaiting a return after a groin injury. The Chargers have a slight scheduling advantage with extra preparation time before facing the Baltimore Ravens.
Additionally, Marshon Lattimore, who was recently traded to the Washington Commanders from the New Orleans Saints, did not practice this week owing to a hamstring concern. He is yet to play for the Commanders since the trade.
These updates are poised to impact team rosters and the dynamics of their upcoming games significantly.
