Nicole Kidman made a striking appearance at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London, dressed in a vivid red gown by Balenciaga. The actress’s choice of attire, which was showcased at the event last evening, drew significant attention due to its bold and unique design features.

The gown, initially observed to have a conservative high-neck and long-sleeve silhouette, revealed more intricate details upon closer inspection. Notably, the dress featured corset-inspired laces along the back, culminating into two long ribbons neatly held by Kidman. This sartorial choice is not Kidman’s first collaboration with designer Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga. In September, she was seen in a similarly styled black dress at the brand’s spring 2025 Paris show. Kidman is currently preparing for the nationwide release of her latest film, «Babygirl,» directed by Halina Reijn. In the movie, she portrays a high-powered CEO who engages in a complex affair with an intern, played by Harris Dickinson. This role garnered her the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year.

Reflecting on her experience in a cover story interview, Kidman shared her initial reaction to the project. «I knew about Halina Reijn, and I heard she was directing a film called ‘Babygirl,'» Kidman stated. Her admiration for the director was instant, leading to a lengthy conversation that sealed her commitment to the film.

However, she acknowledged the challenges of the role, admitting, «Playing this character didn’t scare me at all. It captivated me. It pulled me in.» She also spoke candidly about the intensity required for the performance, indicating moments during filming when she felt overwhelmed by the exposure the role demanded.
