Nigerian Army Commences Recruitment Exercise for Non-Tradesmen and Women
The Nigerian Army has officially announced the commencement of the recruitment application process for non-tradesmen and women, opening the portal for the 87 Regular Recruits Intake. The recruitment exercise was revealed through the Army’s verified social media platform, outlining vital details for interested applicants.
Commencing from May 3 to June 7, 2024, interested individuals are encouraged to visit the designated online portal for the application process, which is completely free of charge. Notably, only those who meet the specified requirements will proceed to the State Recruitment Screening Exercise scheduled for later dates.
According to the official army flyer, interested applicants must fulfill certain entry requirements to be considered. These include being Nigerian citizens by birth, possessing a National Identity Card or NIN slip, and meeting the Army’s standards for medical, physical, and psychological fitness.
Moreover, candidates must ensure a clean record without any criminal convictions, as confirmed by a valid birth certificate or age declaration endorsed by relevant authorities. Additionally, possession of a state of origin certificate, specific height requirements, and age limits are crucial factors for eligibility.
Academic qualifications are also delineated, with a minimum of four passes in not more than two sittings in examinations such as WASSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB. Furthermore, tradesmen/women applicants are required to hold a Trade Test or City Guild Certificate as part of their educational credentials.
Interested candidates are advised to promptly access the Nigerian Army’s recruitment website to initiate the online registration process, adhering to the specified timeline for submission and ensuring all necessary documentation is provided for a smooth application experience.
