In an Instagram post, the star shared contrasting images of herself on a motorcycle and then in a hospital bed, humorously captioned ‘how it started vs how it’s going.’

Despite the setback, Dobrev assured her fans of her well-being on her Instagram Stories, acknowledging that a long road to recovery awaits her.

Following the news, messages of support poured in from Dobrev’s circle, including her friend and fellow actress Ashley Tisdale, who wished her a speedy recovery.

It was revealed that Dobrev’s boyfriend, professional snowboarder Shaun White, considers her to be quite an adventurer, citing her prowess on the snowboard and her upbringing in Canada as contributing factors.

White shared anecdotes of their mountain escapades, including a memorable incident where he had to carry Dobrev down a slope after she accidentally dropped her board in the backcountry of Canada.
