Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2024

On August 27, 2024, Nintendo made a significant announcement by hosting its first-ever back-to-back Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. These presentations revealed a robust array of games from various publishing and development partners that are set to launch on the Nintendo Switch family of systems through Holiday 2024 and beyond.

The Indie World Showcase kicked off the event with notable updates, including the release of the fast-paced 2D platforming game Pizza Tower and a free update to the poker-themed deck-building game, Balatro: Friends of Jimbo, both available later today. Additionally, a new title, Coffee Talk Tokyo, was announced as a continuation of the Coffee Talk series, scheduled to be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2025.

Following the Indie World Showcase, the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase highlighted various upcoming titles. The presentation marked the debut of the acclaimed action-adventure game, Yakuza Kiwami, which is set to release on October 24; the iconic Tetris franchise will also celebrate its legacy with Tetris Forever, slated for launch in 2024.

Furthermore, the showcase featured new game updates, such as Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer launching on December 5, and the MySims: Cozy Bundle, which will arrive on November 19. The presentation also included the anticipated Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, coming to Nintendo Switch on February 11, 2025.

The dual-event showcased many other titles, such as STAR WARS: Hunters and DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake, along with teasers for the Disney Dreamlight Valley “End of Summer” in-game mini-event.
