Nnamdi Kanu's Counsel Denies Rumors Of Escape From Dss Custody

Reports circulating about the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, purportedly escaping from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja have been vehemently denied by his lead Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor.

Ejimakor, who is a prominent legal representative for Kanu, dismissed the escape allegations, emphasizing that Kanu remains resolute in his commitment to address systemic injustices from within the system, and not through unlawful means.

Emphasizing Kanu’s character as a responsible and determined activist, Ejimakor scheduled a visit to his client at the DSS facility to dispel the unfounded rumors.

Efforts to verify the claims with the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, were unsuccessful as calls to his phone went unanswered and text messages remained unresponded to.

The swirling speculations suggested that Kanu had absconded from custody with his case file, with reports insinuating a well-planned and executed escape that allegedly caught the authorities by surprise.
