Nobu Restaurant Finally Opens in Toronto!
Big news for food lovers in Toronto! Canada is finally getting its very first Nobu restaurant, and it’s set to open its doors on August 6th. Located at 25 Mercer St, this place has been highly anticipated for years.
Nobu is a luxury dining brand that was founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, along with Robert De Niro and Meir Teper back in 1994. It’s known for its unique blend of traditional Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influences.
If you’re wondering what to expect, the menu will feature Nobu’s iconic dishes, such as the famous Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno. And don’t forget to try their signature cocktails like the Lychee Martini!
The restaurant is quite spacious, covering two levels and approximately 10,000 square feet. When you walk in, you’ll find an inviting bar and lounge on the ground level, which is cozy and dimly lit, perfect for a relaxed evening out.
Head upstairs to check out the main dining room, where you’ll come across a stunning 20-seat sake bar area, plus a terrace designed to feel like an urban Japanese garden. It’s all very chic!
At the end of the hall, there’s a breathtaking dining area that can accommodate 140 guests. It features a private room decorated with dark cherry wood—a great spot for a special occasion.
One of the coolest features is the open kitchen concept. You can watch chefs working their magic at the sushi bar, where up to 11 guests can sit and enjoy fresh sushi creations right in front of them.
For those eager to get a taste of Nobu before the official opening, there will be a soft launch over the long weekend. Plus, you can sign up on the Nobu Toronto mailing list for early reservation access and more updates.
As for the Nobu hotel and residences in Toronto, they are set to launch in spring 2025. Exciting times ahead for the Toronto dining scene!
