Nollywood actress Bola Mogaji has bravely shared her story of enduring abuse in her marriage, shedding light on the challenges she faced during the relationship.

Having been romantically involved with actor Jibola Dabo in the past, Mogaji later tied the knot with Victor Ayodele Oduleye, a former footballer and physiotherapist, in 2006.

During a recent podcast, the actress revealed the harrowing details of the abuse she experienced in her marriage with Oduleye, highlighting the toll it took on her well-being.

Mogaji disclosed how the relationship started out with love but quickly turned toxic, with verbal, physical, and emotional abuse becoming a common occurrence.

She recounted instances where she would purposely wait outside their home until someone else arrived, in a bid to avoid being subjected to further abuse by her husband.

The actress opened up about enduring this situation for thirteen long years before finally making the decision to separate from her husband four years ago.

Reflecting on the traumatic experiences she faced, Mogaji emphasized the importance of recognizing and leaving abusive relationships, urging others in similar situations to prioritize their own well-being.

She pointed out that even during their time in England, the abuse persisted, painting a stark picture of the challenges she faced behind closed doors.

Mogaji’s courage in sharing her story serves as a beacon of hope for others who may be silently enduring similar hardships, sparking important conversations about domestic abuse and the need for support.

As she continues to navigate life post-separation, the actress remains a symbol of resilience and strength, inspiring others to speak up and seek help in times of need.
