Nollywood Actress Ramota Allegedly in Coma After Botched Surgery

Nigerian actress, Ramota Adetu, who is widely known as Aunty Ramota, has reportedly fallen into a coma following a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery aimed at enhancing her physique. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at a hospital in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Reports suggest that Aunty Ramota opted for the BBL surgery after being offered sponsorship by another individual who aimed to support her in the endeavor.

Unfortunately, complications arose during the surgery, leading to Aunty Ramota slipping into a coma. Distressing videos circulating online show the actress in a hospital bed, receiving medical care with an oxygen mask.

According to a source claiming to be Aunty Ramota’s sister, the sponsor of the surgery absconded upon learning about the unfavorable outcome.

BBL surgery, a popular cosmetic procedure, involves reshaping and resizing the buttocks through fat transfer from various body parts.

As of now, Aunty Ramota’s management has not issued a statement either confirming or refuting the reports.

Reacting to the development, Nollywood actresses Toyin Tomato and Etinosa Idemudia expressed their responses to a viral video depicting Aunty Ramota in a hospital post the BBL surgery.

Furthermore, the incident sparked mixed reactions among other Nollywood actresses. Some actors speculated that it could be a skit, while others conveyed genuine concern and wished for Aunty Ramota’s prompt recovery.

Commenting on the situation, Toyin Lawani dismissed the severity, stating, «It’s a skit, forget. I’m not even falling for this. I’m just imagining how it will look on her legs. I know it’s a joke though. No doctor will do that to her; they would be jailed. It’s not ethical because of her condition.»

Toyin Tomato concisely remarked, «It’s a skit,» while Etinosa Idemudia expressed optimism for Aunty Ramota’s recuperation, stating, «Nothing will happen to my Twinnie in Jesus’ name.»
