Nollywood Mourns the Passing of Actor Yusuf Olorungbebe

Nollywood has sadly lost another talented actor, Yusuf Olorungbebe. The news of his passing was shared on August 28, 2024, by actress Foluke Daramola through her verified Instagram account.

In her announcement, Daramola expressed her sorrow, stating, “We lost Yusuf Olorungbebe… We submit to God’s Will. Thank You Everyone!” This sentiment reflects the deep loss felt by many within the film industry and his fan base.

Olorungbebe’s death comes shortly after Daramola had alerted the public regarding his health condition, seeking financial assistance while he was on life support. She previously shared a video of him in the hospital, appealing for help from fans and colleagues.

In her earlier post dated August 25, 2024, she implored, “I’m here again to plead on behalf of my very esteemed colleague and production manager, Mr. Yusuf Olorungbebe. Please no amount is too small for him to live; your support will go a very long way.”

During this challenging period, Daramola announced that the Nigerian commissioner for culture and tourism, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, had pledged to cover Olorungbebe’s outstanding medical expenses, providing a glimmer of hope amidst the tragedy.
