With the score level at 4.2 (26) at the end of the first quarter, Norwood shifted gears in the second quarter, scoring 5.2 to just 1.4 from North to lead by 22 points at half-time.

The game really opened up in the second half when Norwood rattled off six goals in a row, showcasing their dominance. Notably, defender Jack Heard celebrated his first League goal in style during this flurry.

Mitch Carroll made a significant impact by extending Norwood’s lead to ten goals just before the third-quarter siren. His contribution was key as Norwood completely controlled possession and took 39 more marks than their rivals.

Mitch O’Neill returned to league action after a lengthy injury absence, impressively collecting 24 disposals and two goals. Izaak Twelftree also shined, finding the net three times as the team kept pressing forward.

Harry Boyd, a candidate for the Magarey Medal, was instrumental for Norwood, topping the match stats with 25 disposals, five marks, and 12 clearances. His performance, along with Jack Heard’s 18 disposals, made a significant statement.

Jackson Callow was another standout, booting four goals early in the match, giving fans a thrilling display. Despite the scoreline, North Adelaide‘s Cody Raak managed to find the goal three times.

The loss was a heavy blow for North Adelaide’s hopes of qualifying for the finals, now sitting seventh on the ladder after this weekend’s matches. Their midfielder Campbell Combe unfortunately left the match early due to injury, adding to their troubles.
