The annual Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show, set to illuminate the night sky over the Hudson River, is returning to New York City after more than a decade. Excitement is building up for the spectacular display of pyrotechnics that will dazzle spectators across the city.
Hosted by Macy’s, the fireworks extravaganza is scheduled to commence at 8 p.m. on Thursday. The event will feature fireworks launched from five barges stationed along the Hudson River, spanning from approximately W. 14th St. to W. 34th St. in Manhattan.
Various streets in the vicinity of the Hudson River, including Joe DiMaggio Highway, West Side Highway, West Street, 12th Avenue, and 11th Avenue, will be subject to temporary closures to ensure the safety and smooth flow of traffic during the festivities.
