Oasis Confirms Reunion After 15 Years
OASIS has officially announced a much-anticipated reunion, 15 years after the iconic band disbanded in 2009. This remarkable development has delighted fans worldwide and reignited interest in the band’s legacy.
The announcement also brings attention to Chris Sharrock, the former drummer of OASIS. Born on May 30, 1964, in Merseyside, Sharrock has had an extensive career playing with various bands, including The Icicle Works, The Wild Swans, World Party, and Liverpool’s The La's.
Sharrock joined OASIS in 2008, stepping in after the departure of the previous drummer. His unique style captured audiences, particularly during performances of «The Shock of the Lightning,» where he showcased impressive drum solos and playful tricks with his sticks.
Upon Sharrock’s signing, the band’s member remarked that Liam Gallagher initially expressed reservations about him due to his prior association with Robbie Williams. Nevertheless, Sharrock contributed to OASIS’s final album, Dig Out Your Soul.
Post-OASIS, Sharrock became a part of Beady Eye, formed by former OASIS members, which functioned until their disbandment in 2014. Following this, he joined Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and was confirmed as a full-time member in 2017.
Now, in a significant move, OASIS has announced a UK tour scheduled for 2025. The tour is expected to be one of the largest in British concert history, with dates set in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
Scheduled performances include multiple nights in iconic venues such as Wembley Stadium and Heaton Park. Fans can anticipate a thrilling reunion experience beginning July 2025.
