OKX Enhances Security Measures with New 30-Day Verification Feature for Withdrawal Addresses
OKX, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 technology company, has recently implemented a significant update aimed at bolstering security measures for its users. The platform has rolled out a new feature that allows customers to verify withdrawal addresses for either 30 days or indefinitely, providing enhanced flexibility and protection.
This new security measure ensures that addresses verified for 30 days will remain secure as long as withdrawals are made within that period. If no transactions occur during this time frame, the verification will expire, necessitating users to re-verify their addresses for future withdrawals.
Existing verified addresses on OKX were automatically placed on a 30-day expiry period as of July 4, 2024. To maintain permanent verification, users have the option to either wait for the 30-day period to lapse and re-verify their addresses or delete and re-add them to ensure continuous verification.
By offering this flexible verification option, OKX aims to provide a more personalized and secure platform for its customers, aligning with its commitment to safeguarding user assets and enhancing overall security. The feature is accessible on both the web and app versions (6.75 and newer), ensuring a wide reach for all users.
