Olympian Yul Moldauer Joins Cast of Dancing with the Stars Season 33
American gymnast Yul Moldauer has been announced as the first celebrity to join the cast of Season 33 of the reality competition show Dancing with the Stars (DWTS).

The complete cast reveal of DWTS will be disclosed at a later date. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will return as co-hosts for the upcoming season, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough will continue as judges.

The new season of Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere on September 17 at 8 p.m., simulcasting on both ABC and Disney+, with next-day streaming available on Hulu.

Yul Moldauer garnered attention as part of the U.S. Men’s Gymnastics team during the recent Olympic Games, where the team secured a bronze medal. Moldauer also achieved individual success, winning a bronze medal on the pommel horse.

In addition to his athletic achievements, he advocates for individuals with low vision, as he lives with strabismus. His decision to compete without glasses during the Olympics led to a series of social media memes comparing him to Clark Kent, especially when he removed his glasses during performances.

In an interview, Moldauer shared his experience competing without glasses, stating, “It’s not necessarily clear, but the thing about pommel horse is if I keep them on, they’re gonna fly somewhere.” He further explained that his performance is driven by the feeling of the equipment rather than sight, saying, “It’s all in the hands — I can feel everything.”
