Omar Apollo and Drew Starkey Shine at ‘Queer’ Premiere in Loewe Designs
As the summer season concluded, the Venice Film Festival showcased the vibrant presence of well-known actors Omar Apollo and Drew Starkey on the red carpet. They were in attendance for the premiere of ‘Queer‘, directed by the renowned Luca Guadagnino.
Omar Apollo, known for his unique fashion sense, exhibited the avant-garde side of the Spanish label Loewe, wearing an eye-catching metal blouse from the brand’s spring-summer 2025 menswear collection. This distinctive piece, composed of movable and alternating gold-toned bars, was artfully styled with a single-breasted black suit and a pair of sloped-nose leather shoes.
Drew Starkey took a contrasting approach, opting for a more traditional look. The actor, who portrays Allerton in the film, donned a navy single-breasted tuxedo embellished with a contrasting black lapel. His ensemble was completed with a crisply pressed white shirt, round-nosed derbies, and round-lensed sunglasses, showcasing a classic elegance on the red carpet.
The presence of both actors highlighted the versatility of Loewe, the fashion house known for its innovative designs and strong creative direction. The brand’s creative director has a longstanding friendship with director Luca Guadagnino, greatly influencing the costume designs for ‘Queer’.
In previous collaborations, such as for the film ‘Challengers‘, the stars were frequently spotted in Loewe attire, indicating a trend that may continue with the cast of ‘Queer’. This suggests that fans of Loewe can expect to witness an array of stylish menswear choices throughout the promotional events for the film.
