Packers Trade Back in NFL Draft: Acquire Additional Picks from Saints
The Green Bay Packers made a strategic move during the NFL Draft, opting to trade their original second-round pick for a later selection.
In a trade with the New Orleans Saints, the Packers exchanged their No. 41 overall pick for the Saints’ No. 45 pick, acquiring an additional fifth-round pick (No. 168) and a sixth-round pick (No. 190) in the process.
This trade now gives the Packers a total of eight picks remaining over the final four rounds of the draft, providing them with more opportunities to bolster their roster.
Despite moving back in the second round, the Packers still hold onto two second-round picks, now sitting at No. 45 and No. 58 overall.
As the NFL Draft continues, the Packers will look to make the most of their newfound draft capital and add depth to their team for the upcoming season.
