MK Party Secretary-General Resigns Just Weeks After Appointment Due to Workload
Just three weeks following his selection, the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party‘s secretary general, Arthur Zwane, has tendered his resignation citing an overwhelming workload and personal business commitments.
Zwane, in his official letter of resignation, expressed his availability to assist with organizational tasks on a part-time basis, attributing his departure to the demanding nature of the position.
Responding to Zwane’s decision, MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhela acknowledged that Zwane will continue to be an active member within the organization and will be reassigned to a different role.
“Everyone within the organization serves as a volunteer, and individuals in leadership roles are often redeployed to areas where their skills can be better utilized. For instance, Sihle Ngubane, the former SG, transitioned from the party to a new role as the chief whip,» Ndhela explained.
