Philpot Injured in Alouettes Victory
In a tough break for the Montreal Alouettes, wide receiver Tyson Philpot had to leave the game early on Saturday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Unfortunately, he went down with a lower-body injury just a few minutes into the first quarter.
Philpot, who is 24 years old, was making a catch when he took a hit from Tiger-Cats defensive back Richard Leonard. After that hit, he was spotted favoring his ankle and did not return to the game.
The Alouettes managed to pull off a 33-23 victory, improving their record to an impressive 8-1 this season. After the game, reports indicated that Philpot was seen wearing a walking boot on his left foot.

This season, Philpot has indeed been a key player for the Alouettes, accumulating 779 receiving yards, five touchdowns, and 58 receptions before this unfortunate incident.
