Pilot Baba, Renowned Spiritual Leader, Passes Away at 86
Pilot Baba, whose birth name was Kapil Singh, passed away at the age of 86 in Delhi. He was a former Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force and participated in both the 1965 and 1971 wars against Pakistan.
Following a successful military career, Pilot Baba transitioned into a spiritual life after experiencing a mid-career crisis. He became well-known for his meditation techniques, particularly his mastery of Samadhi, a deeply meditative state.
His spiritual journey took him to the Himalayas, where he dedicated seven years to seeking enlightenment. During this time, he was initiated into sainthood and received the name Somnath Giri from his guru.
Pilot Baba authored several books, including ‘Unveils Mystery of Himalaya’ and ‘Discover Secret of The Himalaya,’ sharing his experiences and teachings with followers around the globe. His claims of interactions with historical figures from Hindu mythology, like Ashwatthama from the Mahabharata, attracted attention.
He reportedly performed the state of Samadhi over 110 times since 1976, which contributed to his reputation as a spiritual leader. His teachings emphasized the enlightenment of consciousness and aimed for unity among the five elements.
Pilot Baba’s demise was announced through an official message on his Instagram account, urging his followers to remain calm and offer prayers. His final rites are scheduled to take place in Haridwar, a city recognized for its spiritual significance.
