PlayStation Announces Black Friday Deals on Consoles and Games
As the holiday season approaches, PlayStation has unveiled its much-anticipated Black Friday deals, which will run from November 22 to December 2. Gamers can expect significant discounts on a variety of products, including the PlayStation 5 consoles, accessories, and digital games.
According to PlayStation spokespersons, this year’s promotions will feature a plethora of products. Among them is the PlayStation 5 along with the PS5 console – Fortnite Cobalt Star Bundle. Other highlighted items include the PlayStation VR2, DualSense wireless controllers, Pulse Elite wireless headsets, PS5 console covers, and a selection of PS4 and PC titles. These offers will be available while supplies last at various retail outlets and on PlayStation’s own platforms such as direct.playstation.com and PlayStation Store.
PlayStation Plus memberships will also see discounts during this promotional period. New members can save up to 30% on a 12-month membership. Existing PlayStation Plus Essential members can benefit by upgrading their plans, with savings of up to 30% depending on their chosen upgrade.
For the duration of the Black Friday sale, players will have access to discounts on major titles, including «The Last of Us Part I,» «Grand Theft Auto V,» and «The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.» Further deals include up to a 40% discount on PlayStation-branded merchandise such as apparel and drinkware.
In addition to the hardware and subscription discounts, Sony previously announced a promotional video revealing a special discounted price for the PS5 Digital Edition. Although the original video was removed, details capture a price reduction from $449.99 to $379.99, representing substantial savings for interested buyers.
Retailers like Amazon have started to offer their own deals, with a 10% discount available on PlayStation gift cards. Prime Members can take advantage of exclusive discounts during the sales period. However, there has been no official confirmation of a price reduction for the PS5 Slim Disc Edition, which remains priced at $499.99.
The official date of Black Friday is November 29, 2024, but promotional activities began weeks earlier. Robert Anderson, a commerce editor at IGN, reported growing anticipation for more announcements as the event draws near. Potential buyers are encouraged to monitor PlayStation and retail sites regularly to catch real-time updates on these evolving deals.
