Pokimane’s Unearthed Reality TV Show Experience Sparks Interest

Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane recently shared a story on Ludwig’s ‘The Yard’ podcast about a mysterious encounter related to a League of Legends-themed reality TV show. Before becoming a full-time content creator, Pokimane, known to her fans as Imane Anys, was balancing school and streaming, aiming to grow her Twitch audience.

During the podcast discussion, Pokimane revealed that she was approached to participate in a reality show focusing on five women League of Legends players. The show’s production team provided the women with a coach to enhance their gameplay, and the project was managed by a Hollywood director.

«[We] had a coach, a full team, and more. They flew me out to LA, and I took a meeting with the director,» she recalled. «In hindsight, it was almost like some weird ass date because it’s like me and this old man having dinner.» This peculiar meeting left an impression on her, especially as the situation took an unexpected turn upon her return home.

Pokimane noted that the project dissolved after her Los Angeles meeting, stating, «It wasn’t like fully ghost after, but it got really weird. They were like ‘we’re really trying…’ and then it fizzled out.»

This revelation adds to other anecdotes Pokimane has shared since the launch of her podcast, ‘Sweet n’ Sour,’ with co-host LilyPichu in September. The Twitch star has previously recounted several surprising personal experiences during her podcast episodes.
