Police Conduct Raids on Hotels in Krishna District Ahead of Vote Counting Day

As the date for the vote counting day, June 4, approaches, the police in Krishna district are ramping up efforts to prevent criminal activities by conducting raids on hotels and lodges across various locations.

A team led by Krishna district Superintendent of Police (SP) Adnan Nayeem Asmi along with Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Md. Abdul Subhan recently undertook an inspection in Machilipatnam town. They visited lodges in areas such as Avanigadda, Gudivada, Mopidevi, Gannavaram, Kankipadu, Poranki, Penamaluru, Pedana, and more.

During the inspection, the police officials interacted with customers, verifying details such as their place of arrival, purpose of visit, duration of stay, and identity cards. They emphasized the importance of lodging establishments maintaining detailed records of all customers, including their contact numbers and Aadhar cards.

Furthermore, the SP instructed lodge and hotel managers to keep a watchful eye on visitors interacting with customers and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the police promptly. This proactive approach aims to ensure the safety and security of all guests.

Avanigadda DSP P. Muralidhar also reinforced the importance of vigilance during check-ins at lodges. Owners were directed to keep thorough check-in and check-out registers and to cooperate with law enforcement during routine inspections.

As part of the efforts to maintain law and order, Robertsonpet CI Srinivas Yadav and Special Branch Circle Inspector Mahesh conducted similar inspections at lodges in the region, underlining the need for cooperation between the hospitality industry and the police to curb any potential criminal activities.
