Polokwane City secured a crucial 1-0 victory over TS Galaxy on the final day of the season, propelling them past Kaizer Chiefs into eighth place in the league standings.

TS Galaxy opted for an unchanged lineup, with Manuel Kambala and Sibusiso taking the place of Given Mashikinya and Hlayusi Chauke.

The breakthrough came for Polokwane City as Oswin Appollis capitalized on a pass from Cole Alexander to score the only goal of the match just before the half-hour mark.

TS Galaxy brought on Thabang Semache and Nkosikhona Radebe for Orebotse Mongae and Mlungisi Mbunjana after the break, with Radebe coming close to scoring but missing the target.

Despite TS Galaxy’s efforts to find an equalizer, including several missed opportunities by Radebe, Polokwane City held on to their lead and secured the victory.
