Port Adelaide displayed a dominant performance against the Western Bulldogs in a pivotal clash at Adelaide Oval, securing a commanding 48-point victory. Led by captain Connor Rozee and forward Mitch Georgiades, the Power’s midfield showcased exceptional form throughout the match.

Rozee’s outstanding 18-disposal first quarter laid the foundation for Port’s strong start. Vice-captain Zak Butters and Brownlow medallist Ollie Wines also played key roles, with Georgiades capitalizing on their onball dominance with five goals.

The Bulldogs struggled to find their rhythm early on, with key forward Aaron Naughton leaving the field due to concussion after a collision with Brandon Zerk-Thatcher. Despite efforts from captain Marcus Bontempelli and midfielder Adam Treloar, the Dogs were unable to match Port’s intensity.

Port Adelaide’s halftime lead of 44 points proved to be insurmountable for the Bulldogs, with Georgiades adding to his goal tally and Horne-Francis contributing with crucial scores. The final quarter saw a spirited effort from the Bulldogs, but it was not enough to close the gap on the dominant Power side.
