Port Adelaide Makes Triple Squad Additions Ahead of Sunday Clash Against Hawthorn
Yartapuulti, the Port Adelaide Football Club, has made a significant triple squad addition in preparation for their Sunday showdown against Hawthorn.
The return of Yartapuulti’s captain, Connor Rozee, along with the inclusion of Jase Burgoyne and Jordon Sweet, has added firepower to the preliminary 26-player squad heading into the upcoming clash.
Rozee successfully overcame a hamstring strain, while Burgoyne and Sweet have been named on the interchange, aiming to make an impact after missing out during Round 9 due to injury and illness.
Travis Boak, a revered figure at Port Adelaide, is set to mark his 356th game, which will see him equal the likes of Paul Roos and Bruce Doull in the 16th spot on the all-time VFL/AFL games played list.
The last encounter between Yartapuulti and Hawthorn took place during Round 12 at Adelaide Oval in 2023, a match that saw the Power emerge victorious with a 55-point lead.
The highly anticipated game will be held at Adelaide Oval this Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 2:50 PM ACST with gates open from 1 PM, providing fans with an exciting spectacle.
Yartapuulti is gearing up to pay tribute to Sir Doug Nicholls Round during the weekend, with special commemorations including a march to Adelaide Oval, a First Nations marketplace, and various other activations around the ground to honor the occasion.
