Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s ‘I Had Some Help’ Holds Top Spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart for Fourth Week
Post Malone and Morgan Wallen‘s collaborative track, «I Had Some Help,» continues its reign atop Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart for a fourth consecutive week, making it the first song this year to achieve such a milestone.
The chart-topping single saw a 1% increase in audience impressions, reaching an impressive 33 million from July 5 to July 11, as reported by Luminate.
This success marked Post Malone’s debut at the No. 1 spot on the Country Airplay chart, while it marked Wallen’s 13th chart-topper in the country music genre, adding to his previous successes on Rhythmic Airplay and Pop Airplay dating back to 2016.
Post Malone’s latest album, «F-1 Trillion,» which features the hit single, is currently making waves in the music industry. The album’s second single, «Pour Me a Drink,» featuring Blake Shelton, has also been climbing the Country Airplay chart, currently sitting at No. 34 with a 37% increase in audience impressions.
WJVC Nassau-Suffolk, N.Y., program director, Phathead, commended Post Malone’s foray into country music, noting that the artist’s authenticity and team collaboration have led to the production of exceptional music. Post Malone’s willingness to work with industry giants like Shelton has further solidified his presence in the country music scene.
For the first time in the history of the Country Airplay chart, an artist has managed to hold the top two positions simultaneously for three consecutive weeks. Wallen’s «Cowgirls,» featuring Ernest, continues to hold its No. 2 position, boasting 31.6 million audience impressions and following closely behind «I Had Some Help.» Luke Bryan and Luke Combs are among the few artists who have achieved this feat in the past.
In other chart news, Luke Combs secures his 21st consecutive top 10 single on Country Airplay with «Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,» which has climbed to the 10th position with 17.5 million audience impressions. The song serves as a part of the soundtrack for the film «Twisters,» set to release on July 19.
Drew Baldridge’s «She’s Somebody’s Daughter (Reimagined)» has also been making significant strides on the Country Airplay chart, rising to the 8th position with 19.3 million audience impressions. The single, which marks the highest-charting self-released track in history, surpasses Aaron Watson’s «Outta Style,» which peaked at No. 10 in 2017.
Billboard, under Penske Media Corporation, continues to track and report on the latest developments in the music industry, showcasing the talent and achievements of renowned artists like Post Malone and Morgan Wallen.
