Power Outage in Northwest Calgary Related to Wildlife
Early Tuesday morning, around 7:20 a.m., residents in northwest Calgary experienced a significant power outage affecting approximately 1,050 customers. The affected areas included the communities of Parkdale, Montgomery, and Point McKay.
The power was mostly restored by 9 a.m., but there were still some areas being assessed for residual outages.
An Enmax spokesperson, Chinta Puxley, stated that the cause of the disruption was due to what they called ‘wildlife interference.’ More details regarding the nature of this interference have yet to be revealed.
Enmax thanked the community for their patience as repair crews worked diligently to restore power safely and efficiently. The company continues to monitor the situation, ensuring that all services are fully operational.
