Prime Video’s Gen V Season 2 Plans Altered After Chance Perdomo’s Death

Prime Video‘s beloved superhero drama series, Gen V, faces a significant shift in its upcoming Season 2 following the untimely passing of one of its young stars, Chance Perdomo.

In a recent update, the producers of the college-set superhero show shared that they have made the decision not to recast Perdomo’s character, Andre Anderson, who played a pivotal role in the narrative.

«As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory,» the producers stated.

The show, which revolves around a group of aspiring heroes uncovering the dark secrets of their educational institution, Godolkin University, will not be the same without Perdomo.

The team behind The Boys, another popular Prime Video series, also confirmed that they will not seek a replacement for Perdomo’s character in Gen V’s upcoming season.

Perdomo, known for his roles in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and various other projects, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in March while en route to Toronto for Gen V’s second season.

Since Perdomo’s passing, the Gen V production team has taken a pause to reassess Season 2’s storylines and make necessary adjustments to honor the late actor.

Producers and colleagues of Perdomo remembered him as a vibrant, talented, and passionate individual, whose presence will be deeply missed both on and off the set.

Amazon MGM Studios, where Gen V is produced, also paid tribute to Perdomo’s memory and legacy, expressing their condolences to his family and loved ones.
