Prince Charles Blocked Princes William and Harry from Meeting Michael Jackson, Former Bodyguard Reveals
Prince Charles intervened to prevent an anticipated meeting between Princes William and Harry with the legendary pop icon Michael Jackson, as disclosed by the star’s former bodyguard, Matt Fiddes.
Fiddes unveiled the profound connection shared between Princess Diana and Michael Jackson, citing the late princess as Jackson’s ‘ideal wife.’ Their friendship was deeply rooted, with constant phone calls exchanged between the two renowned personalities.
Despite the close bond, Prince Charles, known today as King Charles, reportedly hindered the meeting plans during Jackson’s 2002 visit to London.
Prince William and Prince Harry, eager to meet the star due to their mother’s previous friendship with Jackson, were left disappointed as the royal intervention halted the arranged rendezvous at the House of Lords.
A formal notification was received by Jackson’s team, expressing the princes’ inability to meet the music icon, a decision attributed to Prince Charles’ concerns over potential controversies surrounding the meet-up.
Matt Fiddes further revealed Jackson’s aspiration for an honorary knighthood, which he believed a meeting with the royals may have secured. However, the thwarted encounter occurred just before the release of the controversial documentary ‘Living with Michael Jackson’, which significantly impacted the singer’s reputation.
Despite the setback, some in royal circles, such as Prince Harry, maintained admiration for Michael Jackson post the documentary’s allegations, showing continued interest in learning about his mother’s connection to the pop superstar.
Regrettably, both Michael Jackson and Princess Diana met tragic ends prematurely, leaving behind memories of a mysterious and unique friendship that transcended boundaries.
