Prince William’s Initiative on Homelessness Featured in ITV Documentary Series
Prince William‘s efforts to combat homelessness through The Royal Foundation‘s Homewards programme are set to be showcased in an exclusive two-part documentary series on ITV.
Titled ‘Prince William: We Can End Homelessness [w/t],’ the documentary will provide viewers with an inside look at the first year of the Homewards programme. It will follow Prince William as he introduces Homewards across the UK, depicting the stories of individuals experiencing homelessness and advocates of the programme.
The Homewards programme, a five-year initiative by The Royal Foundation, aims to demonstrate the possibility of eradicating homelessness through collaborative efforts in six locations in the UK.
The two-part documentary commissioned by ITV features directors like Leo Burley and Jo Clinton-Davis, who expressed their excitement about sharing the project’s ambitious journey with audiences.
Leo Burley, the BAFTA award-winning director, highlighted the impactful stories captured during the filming process, shedding light on the various faces of homelessness in different regions of the UK.
Alongside Prince William, well-known advocates of the Homewards programme and leaders of individual projects will be featured in the documentary, providing a comprehensive view of the initiative’s progress and impact.
The Royal Foundation’s CEO, Amanda Berry OBE, emphasized the power of television in driving change and raising awareness. The documentary aims to inspire action and illustrate the potential to end homelessness through collective efforts.
