Johnny Bairstow’s blitzkrieg knock of 46 runs and Riley Rossouw’s quick 43 set the stage for Punjab’s victory. Bairstow’s explosive batting with a strike rate of 153.33, supported by Rossouw’s elegant strokeplay, sealed the win for Punjab. Captain Sam Curran and Shahrukh Singh provided crucial contributions to secure the much-needed victory.

Chennai’s bowlers, including Sharjah Thakur, Richard Gleeson, and Ronnie Chahar, managed to take wickets but failed to contain the Punjab batsmen. With this win, Punjab has boosted their chances of making it to the playoffs in the IPL 2024 season.
