Quantum Computing Inc. Secures Second Order for Photonic Chips from University of Texas at Austin
HOBOKEN, N.J., Nov. 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Quantum Computing Inc. (Nasdaq: QUBT), an integrated photonics and quantum optics technology company, has announced the receipt of its second purchase order for its thin film lithium niobate (TFLN) photonic chip foundry. This order, received from the University of Texas at Austin, will support the research of the University’s RF Acoustic Microsystem Group. The fulfillment of this order is anticipated in the first quarter of 2025.
The collaboration with the University aims to advance chip-scale acoustic and cross-domain microsystems, utilizing scalable industrial processes offered by the QCi Foundry. The order involves a custom fabrication run that will be tailored to the specific research needs of the University. This initiative is part of the QCi Foundry’s pilot launch program, which is set to leverage standard TFLN processing recipes.
