Queen Guitarist Brian May Reveals Health Update After Minor Stroke
Brian May, the renowned guitarist of the iconic band Queen, has announced that he recently suffered a minor stroke.
In a video shared on his YouTube account, the 77-year-old musician disclosed that he experienced a temporary inability to use his left arm. However, he expressed relief as he is now able to play the guitar again.
May shared his experience, stating, «I’m here to bring you some good news – the good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days.» He further explained that the health issue was unexpected, and he was taken to Frimley Hospital in Surrey for care.
During the video, May praised the medical staff for their exceptional service, stating, «They gave me the most fantastic care.» He also mentioned his decision to keep the incident private at the time, explaining that he did not want to attract sympathy or cause unnecessary concern among his fans.
He added, “The good news is I’m okay. Just doing what I’m told, which is basically nothing. I’m grounded.” This statement emphasized his temporary restrictions, which include not being allowed to drive or fly, as well as the necessity to avoid activities that could elevate his heart rate.
