Real Madrid Faces Challenges Ahead of Match Against Real Valladolid
Real Madrid’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti announced significant changes to the starting lineup ahead of their match against Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.
Notably, Ancelotti revealed that Jude Bellingham has suffered a muscular injury in his right leg during training, leading to his expected absence for a month. The club confirmed this information, prompting Bellingham to express his frustration on social media.
Bellingham stated, «Nothing I hate more than missing games but trying to see the positive side and maybe my body is telling me it needs a bit more rest after a busy year.» He added that he would support his teammates until he could return in the best form.
In addition to Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga will also miss the match, necessitating a change in the midfield strategy. Ancelotti has opted to start Arda Guler alongside Fede Valverde, with Aurelien Tchouameni serving as the midfield pivot in a 4-1-2-3 formation.
The attacking lineup will feature Vinicius Jr. on the left wing, Rodrygo on the right, and Kylian Mbappe at the center forward position. Defensively, Fran Garcia will replace Ferland Mendy, who received a red card in the previous match against Mallorca.
Madrid aims to secure their first victory of the season following a 1-1 draw against Mallorca, where Rodrygo scored the opening goal, but Vedat Muriqi equalized for Mallorca.
Real Valladolid, under new management, enters the match after a promising start, having won their opener against Espanyol with a goal from new signing Raul Moro.
