Reba Mcentire And Melissa Peterman On The Set Of Reba

Reba McEntire has recently stirred nostalgia on social media by sharing a throwback photograph with co-star Melissa Peterman from their time on the beloved sitcom «Reba». In her post, made on Wednesday, McEntire drew comparisons between their comedic partnership and the iconic duo of Elphaba and Glinda from «Wicked«. «I guess pink and green really do go with dynamic duos!» McEntire captioned, referring to their attire in «The Pageant of Grandmas» episode.

The post comes just days before «Wicked: Part 1», directed by Jon M. Chu, is set to make its theatrical debut on November 22. The film features actors portraying Elphaba, a misunderstood character due to her green skin, and Glinda, her popular counterpart, who develop an unconventional friendship at Shiz University in the Land of Oz.

Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman played the roles of close, albeit unlikely friends, on «Reba», which aired from 2001 to 2007. Their collaboration on screen continues, as they have reunited for the new comedy series «Happy’s Place». This series, which premiered last month, sees McEntire stepping into a new television role on NBC.

Currently, «Happy’s Place» is drawing attention as McEntire portrays Bobbie, a bar owner who inherits her father’s establishment. The sitcom follows Bobbie as she discovers she has a younger half-sister, Isabella, played by Belissa Escobedo, and the two must navigate their new family dynamics together.

Joining the cast alongside McEntire and Escobedo are notable actors, including Peterman, and McEntire’s husband, Rex Linn. Tokala Black Elk and Pablo Castelblanco also bring their talents to this ensemble.

These developments add a new chapter to McEntire’s extensive career in entertainment, which, following the end of «Reba», involved a variety of roles and television projects. «Happy’s Place» airs new episodes every Friday and is available for streaming on Peacock.
