Record-Breaking Number of Nominations at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards
Reba McEntire is gearing up to host the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards in Dallas, breaking records with her 17th time emceeing the show at the Ford Center at The Star near Dallas. She sees the event as a family reunion, bringing together a mix of veteran acts and newcomers.
This year’s nominee list spans a wide range, including breakout star Jelly Roll who has bagged nominations for entertainer of the year, male artist of the year, and more. Other fresh talents like Megan Moroney, Nate Smith, and Tigirlily Gold were recognized at the ACM Country Kickoff fan festival.
Leading the nominations this year is Luke Combs with a staggering eight nods, closely followed by other big names such as Tracy Chapman, Morgan Wallen, Cody Johnson, and Chris Stapleton. Notably, Tracy Chapman earned her first-ever ACM nomination for a song covered by Luke Combs.
Jason Aldean is set to perform a tribute to the late Toby Keith during the awards show, joined by a star-studded lineup including Kane Brown, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, and more. The event will be streamed live on Prime Video and Amazon Music’s Twitch channel.
Expect some unique collaborations on stage as well, such as Kelsea Ballerini with Noah Kahan, Blake Shelton with Gwen Stefani, and Nate Smith with Avril Lavigne as the music industry celebrates another year of country talent.
