Born in Los Angeles, James Sikking had a prolific acting career that spanned nearly six decades, featuring appearances in popular shows like ‘MASH‘ and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘ alongside starring roles in ‘Hill Street Blues’ and ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’
One of his most memorable roles was as Lieutenant Howard Hunter in the groundbreaking series ‘Hill Street Blues,’ where Sikking brought depth and humor to the character of a Vietnam War veteran heading an emergency action team.
His co-star from ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.,’ Neil Patrick Harris, paid tribute to Sikking, reminiscing about the amazing lessons he learned from him. Doug Sheehan, another accomplished actor known for his work in ‘General Hospital,’ also recently passed away.
